She has this friend who's like a shadow of hers, they talk about anything and everything with each other then the friend asked me about our bdrm business and I'm speechless. Ladies I want to know what do you get from doing this ?

I don't ever talk about such things. I think it's a personal subject that should be between a couple only. My boyfriend doesn't necessarily agree, but doesn't talk about our business out of respect for me. Honestly, I don't know why anyone would share intimate details about their lives with anyone but the person they are being intimate with. I think it's disrespectful.. but that's just me.

Wow... that's too intimate for my taste. There was little else you could have said aside from that shocked speechlessness. A blank, horrified look on your face and silence should have answered her question for her.

Something else you could say is "Thank you for taking an interest, but can we talk about something else?" and change the subject.

Men do it too. I think they actually started it. What do women get out of it? They get to compare notes on what goes on in other relationships. I'd say it also gives them a feeling of power over their sexual partners. But I'd disown any friend that had the nerve to repeat what I said, especially to my man. She definitely crossed the line.

She is obviously going to talk to her best friend about it, that's what friends do!
But it's a bit weird that her friend said something to you about it.. If it bothers you maybe you should have a word.

They want to feel close to each other. They feel like best friends when they tell each other everything.
