Why do white people have such thin hair if they come from colder climates?

When they moved up from africa into europe wouldn't their hair be thicker from adaptation due to having to survive in the colder weather? And why are latin american and black people need thicker hair if their from hotter climates
i mean thinnest head hair. it seems white people tend to bald more too
