It seems that most kids are involved in some form of sports and parents go out of their way to support their kids. Right now, it's common to hear parents fight at sports game. On the other hand, how often do you see large group of parents, teachers, and students come together to support education and learn together? Most of the time, at PTA meetings, only a few parents show up.
Why do we value sports so much, when most of our children don't even have a chance at making it professional. Education on the other hand is important and more practical, yet too many students are failing and we lag behind other countries.
