I've been watching the ITV news recently about the cold snap we've been having in the last few weeks, but the newsreaders and the newspapers fail to mention Northern Ireland and only Britain (ie. Britain's Cold Snap Bites Back instead of UK's Cold Snap Bites Back). I know that NI isn't part of the mainland (Britain), but I'm pretty sure it's part of the UK as well.
Why do they always mention Britain on the news and not Northern Ireland?
