Army/Air force and Navy/USMC? In looking at the actual metal pin insignia for the US officer grades O-4 and O-5, the style of the oak leaves are different. Is there a reason for the difference? The images I observed also had a slight difference with O-3 rank insignia, specifically the positioning of the connection bars between/under the two silver bars. All other officer insignia appears to be the same.
