Why do teachers only tell history about presedents and states?

I'm getting sick of it! I read an article yesterday that an innocent man was shot dead on my street because he was mistaken for a criminal in 1929.
To me that's why more interesting then empires,rules/laws of old days ect. while some things are interesting I must say they ruin it by shoving the information at us and not going into much detail.
question what do you think?

You need the big picture to understand the smaller details of history, so they start with the big picture about presidents, etc. They don't have enough time to teach the details.

It's good that you're interested in the detailed, human side of history. There are many books and magazines and internet sites out there which will give you a virtually endless supply of that sort of information.

I wish you well.
