Why do teachers complain about the (lack of) income/perks in their job?

The average teacher income in one state is $45,111, and the school year is 180 days, but let's round that to 190 for in-service days throughout the year, at less than 8 hours a day.
That's 1520 hours worked per year, which makes the income at $29.68 an hour. They get weekends off, Thanksgiving break, Winter break, February break, April break, and summer break during the year.
What is there to complain about?
I mean, I'm only looking at a bit of it, but what are the aspects that I'm ignoring here?
