Why do some people not consider fish to be meat?

I stopped eating meat a little less then 6 months ago and I notice alot of people will say "I dont eat meat, just chicken and fish" but most say "i just eat fish, i am a vegeterian..." but to me a fish IS an animal.. so for those of you who ONLY eat fish.. why do you eat fish but no other meat? (no judgement just curious)
 
Yes your right. All animals are equal to me, so I don't eat any animals.

You know the saying: Fish, the other white meat.
