Why do some people feel guilty after sex?

I have a friend at work who has a problem. She had sex with this other girl right? Afterwards that chick had nothing to do with her since then. But, before they had sexual contact they used to text and talk on the phone all the time.
Anyway she was asking me if that was normal, you know, how everything just shut down. The conversations and texting. I wasnt to sure so I just decided to try to get some answers.
Could it be shes feeling guilty or ashamed? Do you think they will ever get back to being friends again? Hmmm, its got me thinking now lol!

I had the same thing happen to me.
It usually shows the other girl--as you said---iseither guilty or most likely ashamed.
It makes it harder since it's same sex-sex (or same gender if you will) because it's not something society accepts so easily.
Also, so people just aren't mature enough to handle what they have done.
It puts questions in their head and makes then question things and can flip a whole persons life upside down depends on whether they know their sexual orrientation or not (I'm not sure if she did) but it's just something you have to deal with, people aren't all the same unfortunately :/.
I still haven't gotten over when that happened to me.
