Why do some gay guys have excessive femininity and some lesbian girls...

Maybe its because gay guys are attracted to the same sex as their mother and therefor take after them for, and lesbians are attracted to the same sex as their father and take after them more, and maybe they naturally act like the parent they take after because they subconciously think that acting like that is the way you should act when attracted to that sex.
...excessive masculinity? I'm a lesbian. But I don't have any masculinity at all.
Just wondering this from what I see.... I'm not saying all are like that, but for ex.: gay guys are constantly worried about their appearances and often look very good. While some lesbian women don't care about that at all! and look, well... not nice.
Do you think you can solve the mystery?
I'm loooving the answers. Please keep posting! But I guess it's hard, isn't it?! From my experience, all the girls I know who are also lesbians are either very butch, or the ones who are feminine are completely crazy. I understand, if you're gay (and you have excesse femininity) you want to be with another gay guy who have the opposite (masculinity) but it's hard, because most who are guy, have at least a feminine side.
Like heterosexual couples, if you're a man, you're looking for a woman who's sensitive, caring, etc...
