why do so many think ford and gm are still american made cars?

every one is talking about buying american to help the economy when in fact the so called american cars are not made in north america unlike the kias Honda's and toyotas that are made in north america and make jobs for us all,the film roger and me tells the story,the new Buick's,really nice cars i cant lie but not made in the us or canada,the chevy Cruz also not made in the us or canada,its like these american companies had to go over seas get a car that is already doing well ,slap there name on it and clam it as there own,look at the chevy Cruz,the Commercial clames its won all these awards when the car just came out,ya it won in other countries where its most likely another car made by some other company,
