Why do so many people think Sheriff Arpaio's tent city jail is inhumane?

Really, think about it:

Electronics such as TV and air conditioning has only been around for a little over half a century. How was it that humans were able survive without them for hundreds of thousands of years? How is it that many people not in prison still don't have them but can still live a decent life?

Do you really want your tax dollars to pay for inmates to recieve luxuries and benefits (such as medical care, clothing, education, access to exercise facilities) for free; the same kind of luxuries you might be able to barely afford if you can afford them at all?

Do you want prisoners to commit crimes again once they leave prison only to commit another crime knowing you'll be footing the bill for their accomodations? Or do you want it to be worth the taxpayer money by making inmates collectively work for their services by doing useful labor or other tasks that make our taxes worth it?
