This has always amazed me. A chimpanzee that can read directions, or watch YouTube instructional videos, can build a truly superior computer for less than the equivalent pre-built...plus, you get the satisfaction of building it yourself...and greater knowledge about your computer and computing in general.
So, if you are afraid to build your own computer, can you tell us what your fears are?
I welcome all replies.
For example, I am building a box with an Intel 980X and a Fermi and 12Gb RAM...and all the bells and whistles. Total cost: ~$2,300. Neareest equivalent pre-built (with inferior compnents) total cost: $3,700.
@Tim: I can see that...and hey, I ain't gonna knock it. People come by and ask me to build a box...and I usually take $150 off the top...and they don't say a peep. LOL To each their own. Some people by AlienWare (DELL) just because of the logo...it's their money.
@Perkins. Find a wire misplaced in one of my builds. I dare you. LOLOL
