My teacher told me that rhyming creates a mood.
But why would poets use sonnets as a structure for rhyming? Do sonnets convey a specific mood in general (and if so, what is it)?
One poem I am currently analyzing has a rhyme scheme of ababa cdcedefef...any ideas as to what it might mean?
Also, what affect does alliteration have on a poem?
And with iambic pentameter, how does that structure/give meaning to a poem? (my poem specifically has 5 pairs of syllables per line, with each pair starting with unstressed than stressed).
Please help! I'm trying to write an explication for a project. I will appreciate any help very much!
