Why do people who disbelieve God/Scripture, spend so much time debating it?

Would you spend half your life auguring about some other fiction? You who claim that the Word of God is fiction, why are you in here, day after day, trying to disprove it? Why do you even care, if it is fiction? Would you do this about, say, Red Riding Hood wore a blue hood? Argue about it day and night? Is that sensible or what? I say it proves you know the Word of God is true and you hate it.

Some wannabe, newbie atheists don't know what else to do with their beliefs. Personally, I just like trying to answer questions in an intelligent way ... or sometimes making a joke. But I'm not into debate at all.

It's already false and YOU have to try and prove it true.
