I'm not talking about people who inadvertently speed or engage in other minor matters. I'm talking about the hardcore knuckleheads who start mess.

If you sell drugs, shoplift, badmouth the police every chance you get, burglarize homes, rape, mug, and comit other violent crimes, why come here looking for a shoulder to cry on? Why not stay hardcore and go to jail like a real man or woman?

Unfortunately society today is whiny. We have become a people who do not take responsibility for our actions. We love to blame others for our misfortunes and mistakes.
It's sad---but it is just getting worse!
I think it's all a matter of how we bring up our children and teach them responsibility and consquence and values. We allow Big Bird, Sponge bob or the teacher making 10.50 an hour to teach our kids "life" skills and values.

I think it is because they have no sense of right & wrong. I heard a drug (cocaine) dealer ask, "Why are they locking me up? Why is Bristol Myers (the makers of Pepto-Bismol) allowed to sell drugs, but I can't.?"

Also, many of these career criminals don't want to take responsibility for their actions. They would rather blame society, or their family, etc. It's easier for them to look outward than for them look inside of themselves.

In elemtary school the bullies normally pick on the kid who cannot defend him/herself. But the minute the principle shows up, the bullies are afraid... These so-called, "hard core" criminals behave the same way. Tough on the outside, and mush on the inside.

I agree with you! If you can't do the time, don't do the crime!
