...the 60 debate? those who heard it on the radio thought nixon did the best job, where those who saw it on tv said kennedy.

so do those that compair jfk to obama to young to remember this?

i like kennedy , dont get me wrong, but he wasnt the best of the best at speaking.

not to mention he said that he was a dounut in germeny when he ment to say i am a berliner, in the speech where he spoke in german
he was a good speaker just not this idol people make of him
Ich bin ien berliner is a type of dounut, the comedian eddie izzard , hes on that show the riches pointed this out, i dont speak german, and it might not be true but wouldnt that be the funniest thing

Ich bin ien eclair?
Zwei Bier bitte. lmao

His speech writers were good. I saw it, but was for Nixon lodge. (too young to vote though)

Kennedy was not only a below average speaker, he was one of the most overrated presidents in our history.
If not for his good looks, he would have been severely criticized, and perhaps impeached for any one of his many blunders.
He came onto the national stage on a senate committee that was investigating organized crime , but he later used some Mafia connections to get elected president.--- It is widely believed that he may have used those connections to set up the murder of Marilyn Monroe.
Many Cuban freedom fighters were killed because of his blunders at the Bay of Pigs invasion.---He even brought us to the brink of nuclear war, because he was asleep at the switch when the Russians started sneaking missiles into Cuba.
I can't believe that such a man could ever be remembered as a "great president".---The only positive thing that I can remember about his presidency was the creation of the Youth Corps. However, he was given the credit for the Youth corps, even though it was Sargent Shriver who worked tirelessly to make it a success.

Most of these men never even write their own speeches. The last President who did most of his own writing was Reagan.
