...sex and/or violence? Seriously, people, I have been reading Yahoo user reviews of Watchmen, and I am totally astounded when someone writes "Took my 9 year old, there was too much sex" or complains about the blue dong etc. Are you freakin' kidding me? It gets worse: you can even find stories of people taking their 3 or 5 year old. This is a dark, gory, grisly film. Taking your child to see it has got to be some sort of child abuse. I mean, what's the point of a rating system if parents are going to completely ignore it? Equally disturbing: complaints about the sex (and/or blue dong) outnumber complaints about violence at least 20 to 1. I guess it's OK for a young child to watch a guy have his arms cut off by a radial saw, or a head hacked a dozen times by a rusty clever, but GOD forbid they catch a glimpse of a small fuzzy blue CGI dong. Maybe the terrorists really have won.

I think that some people would rather blame the movies rather than take personal responsibility for their parenting.
