If you play as hard as you should be, then you'll get slammed up quite a bit,
more than baseball or basketball, and pretty close to football,
just because you don't have padding all over your body...
So obviously it requires a pretty decent level of toughness,
which is why it is not a wimpy sport.
You only use your legs? FALSE!!!!!
You have to use your head, chest, shoulders, and occasionally your back.
(unless you can do backflip kicks).
You also have to use your arms in throw-ins with do require a bit of arm strength if you want to get it anywhere fast like you should.
If you are playing the goalie position, then you have to use your whole body.
You also have to push your way through the "crowd" in many situations such as the corner kick just like basketball; if you are weak and frail, you can't even get close to that soccer ball...
It requires good
stamina,
judgment,
speed,
control,
jump height,
footwork,
etc (just like every other sport)
