I really have a tough time believing that. People say interracial couples never catch any crap out there but that is if they are a common interracial couple (Black guy - White girl or White guy - Asian girl).
My friend is an Asian guy and he said he was harassed and caught a lot of trash from the society there because his girlfriend was a Latina. My cousin is dating an Asian girl and he is a Black guy, both of them caught heavy crap out there for dating each other.
Now when they moved to the deep south and back to the East Coast, no one really cared about the two.
So why is California portrayed as being "open minded"?
