why do people play baseball?

knowing that ur not going to make it pro, why do we even try?
im 13 and i recently realised that pretty much NO ONE makes it.
even if ur "good".
its weird... i thought people just naturally made it
 
I'm 33, and I just want to tell you that you're too young to be that jaded about your dreams...sure, it's okay to be realistic, but you got a lot of years ahead of you, and my advice is to give it your all now while you're young....

My dreams weren't in baseball, but in playing rock 'n roll music...I still play, but at my age, I start to realize that maybe I didn't have what it takes to "make it"...but you know what....who cares? I wouldn't give up one minute of my trying to do my best for any experience in the world....if you are any good at all right now at baseball, now is not the time to be embracing that negative self-talk...it may seem like giving up is easier than giving it a try, but in the long run, you'll regret it...
