Why do people on Yahoo Answers criticize the person and not just discuss the topic?

Well, since you are asking for help, some people take this as an opportunity to advise you of your other "flasw' as well
 
Not all criticize but those that do are just not nice people.
Discussing the topic is a violation. You are to ask a question or answer it, no more or no less.
 
I try, but sometimes you can tell that the person at the other keyboard is a complete dumbass.
 
Because some topics are stupid. Some people make decisions that are absolutely ridiculous and they put themselves in the situation in the first place with their stupidity.
