Aside from complete douche bags, why are there grown adults who somehow think they can criticize sound science? What causes someone to believe industries or industry backed politicians over peer reviewed scientific data such as those found in the IPCC reports? Can someone explain why this is the case? Do they just choose to believe it so they can go on with their luxurious fossil fuel based society without guilt? Are they just apathetic and choose at random not to believe it without bothering to see who they get their information from. Are they just plain uneducated and don't understand the difference between scientific process and self interest oriented industry? Please provide me with some insight.
