why do people judge gays, lesbians, and others who are a like?

i mean i am only a girl who only likes guys but, what gives any one the right to hate, criticize, or judge what some one is into? i have TONS and TONS of friends who are either gay, bisexual, lesbian, transsexual, etc... and i still think their the best people in the world. So what gives any one the right to hate, when we are taught to love and be kind to our neighbor bringing peace to the world??
 
i sometimes think it is not always the fault of ppl who r not gay ,my girl friend finds it hard 2 b open about it esp with her family and at work ( her choice i know ) that in its self has repercussions i have come across a number of ppl the same because of what might b said
will they b made fun of ? will they not like me ? will loose family /friends /? but the way i c it is they can never be a whole person if they hide part of themselves ,,so in some cases i feel the worst homophobic ppl r homosexuals themselves ,,,i know it damages my relationship with my girlfriend ,i am totally open i wish everyone was then heterosexual would not have any ammunition ..having said all that we have come a long way as far as equality is concerned thanks 2 ppl who have fought 4 our rights but gay parades do not help bigotry
u don't c heterosexuals having parades ( this may b the controversial ) part 2 my answer but its what i think
