Why do people intentionally misspell the word "the" by writing "teh"?

"Teh" is not a word. Why do so many people intentionally misspell it? Most kindergartners know how to spell "the". Am I mssing something?

they know how to spell it, it's just a typo

like "coudl" or "jsut"
