Why do people in jeeps, always honk in warren nj?

Ok so my bestfriend lives in warren nj, and most of the time I'm there, i use her jeep to get around. And EVERY SINGLE jeep that passes me, honks and the person waves. I dont get it. LOL. Im kind of curious on to why they do it.
 
It's probably you they are honking at, not the Jeep........say, what part of NJ do you live in ? doin' anything next Saturday night ?
 
lol its a jeep thang :) its like being in a club or gang its a brotherhood, like how harley bike rides wave at others they pass, you think waving is wierd, pull over open the hood like you broke down every jeep will stop to help, its a true bond of respect and love of a JEEP no other vehicle has as many devoted fans!!!
