I mean I think the welfare of society as a whole is more important than the individual. I mean there is data on wikipeidia stating than on the past 30 years economic inequality has increased and so has social mobility. The question is why not impose a progressive tax system. And why not make post secondary education free? People who say its not possible to get rich under socialism should know that the fifth richest man the founder of IKEA lives in sweden a country with a social democratic system?
