Hi Im doing a Psychology report on why people grab the handle located on the interior of a car above the passenger door or on the inside of the door parallel to the mirror outside of the car. Im wondering if there is something in the brain that goes off during a quick stop, a fast curve, or a turn in a road that makes humans grab this handle? Do people really get that scared that they need to hold onto this? Please give me lots of info cause I have to write a report on this that is two pages long explaining why humans do this. I often find myself doing this very same thing and grabbing onto the handle especially when it comes to making turns! Thanks for your help in advance!
