Why do people complain about the price to clean a computer full of viruses?

I wonder why people are always complaining about the price of cleaning a computer that has been infected with viruses, trojans and spyware? When they ask how much it costs to clean the computer, they go ballistic. Yet, they are the ones that infected their computer in the first place. They must think it should be cleaned for free or something like that. Then they say it cost too much and that they be better going out and buying a new computer. OK.... that is great but if they have not changed their practices, their new computer will end up like their old one. Anyway what are you going to do with the old computer? Or the files, photos, songs, and personal information on the old computer? I guess that should be transferred for free too? huh?

Perhaps because they didn't pay for the virus, they feel they shouldn't have to pay to rid themselves of it. People aren't willing to take personal responsibility for their actions these days, and have come to expect "nanny" to do everything for them.

Most of the people on Y!A I think are adolescents, and they haven't yet learned about either the value of money, or the principle of responsible behavior. I do find it amusing sometimes, wondering what people are thinking:

"I took my laptop swimming. Now it won't start. What do I do?"

"My little brother viewed porn on my computer and I want to get rid of the evidence."

"Where can I download a free million dollars?"
