Are people just not educated on how an antibiotic works?
Perhaps I should point out to the two who don't think that I know how an antibiotic works that my stepfather is a dentist and I am a medical student.

Yes, you do need a prescription to get antibiotics, but they aren't exactly hard for people to get either.
