Why do people assume an education keeps you from living in poverty?

well for one thing, most people that have the credentials to show for have a better chance at getting a job and keeping one ONLY if it's in the medical field or something else that's in demand. it's true that times get hard and people get laid off but to me, it's moreso about determination and focus rather than credentials because some people have more motivation than others. i think that most people have to work their way up so just don't give up and things will get better, you'll see. good luck hon. =)

Just curious because I've always heard this but I've noticed that in my life, I have a hs diploma, college career certificate, and working on getting a bachelors and I'm still living in poverty.
