policies = good standard of living? think of places like Brazil, South Africa, China, etc.
they are all capitalist economies (China is communist in name only now) and are all "great for business and investment". yet inequality is some of the worst on earth. in South Africa's case, which has a 300 billion dollar economy, there are still shack dwellers suffering from malnutrition, despite it's "great business" policies.
so why do people always assume that just because it's good for the goose, it's good for the gander?
