Why do owners of Renault clio sport THINK they can "outrun" a 650 c.c motorbike?

I was out on my motorbike yesterday (Suzuki Gladius 650) and a boy racer in a Renault Clio sport challenged me to a "Burn off" race.... PLEASE Give your head a shake
I went past it like it was standing still
