Why do other people always get sick at restaurants but I don't?

I always hear people talk about getting sick at Taco Bell and after eating curry and all that, but I never get food poisoning or anything. I don't know, I came from a Caribbean country that is pretty first world and everything, but my dad came from a country in South America that is very poor and most likely has a dodgy, suspect infrastructure. Admittedly though, he always complains about getting diarrhea and whatnot sometimes.

I never have a problem when I eat anything. Do I just have a hardy stomach, good immune system and all that?
 
You are right.
You have a good immune system.
Plus you may have been lucky and not had the contaminated food.
But people who have underlying health problems and this could be things that occurred from being brought up poor in a third world country will have much more trouble fighting off infections than healthy people.
