Why do my sims look weird on The Sims 3?

Okay, so I know for a fact that I meet all of the requirements for The Sims 3 and I even have a pretty nice video card (GeFore 9400?) I have all of my settings on a high level. My sim detail is even on very high. The problem is that they just look messed up, my male sims especially. When I create my sims in the Create A Sim they look completely normal but once I play the game they look different from when I made them. Their eyes look really buggy and their mouths are a bit droopy. They look terrible and I can't even play the game because they look so awful. Has anyone else noticed this, or is this just me? What's wrong!? Please help, thanks!

Maybe your computer's processing power can't keep up with the graphics card (even if it's a nice graphics card, you need the power to back it up) and it's making graphical sacrifices to keep up. Have you tried turning the graphics settings down a notch? Try it and see if it fixes the situation. If it does, then your computer can't keep up with the high graphics, even if the graphics card can. Also, lack of memory would hurt too. I have an excellent graphics card on my laptop, but my processing speed is low, so I can't play games on high graphics settings. Good luck and take care.
