Why do my legs turn to jelly when I sprint?

When I sprint i reach my top speed and after 50m my legs will turn to jelly and it will be impossible to run. I have never finished a 100m hurdle race without this happening. It sometimes happens in soccer when I get disorientated. It is almost like i am running too fast for my body to handle. Please help? So I can stop face planting whenever I sprint.

You aren't getting enough water and salt to sustain you, and you're not eating enough of the right foods either.
There are books written for runners that talk about diet and water, please get one! Before that happens, drink water, use sea salt, eat long-chain carbohydrates, and talk to a nutritionist about your nutrition needs prior to run days.

You are lacking strength because you are not eating good foods or not drinking enough water.
Try drinking a bottle of water, no sodas, and eating something healthy at lunch or whenever at least 2 hours before you practice/compete. You should feel a lot better.
