Why do my Fish keep dying?

Okay, so over the past three weeks I've had 4 fish die. The first two (Sasori I and Deidara I) were both fantails and they died about the same time (Dei was dead when I came home from school and Sasori was dead the next day when I woke up). So I cleaned out the tank and bought two new fish (Sasori II and Deidara II), one was a Comet and the other was a shubunkin. Sasori II died a week or so ago, so I bought another shubunkin (Sasori III) and everthing was alright until yesterday when Deidara II died. I also fear that Sasori III might die soon because he keeps settling at the bottom and putting his top fin down.

I dont know why they keep dying. I have a Hexy fish tank which has a filter built into it. It holds 5.7 litres of water at a time and I only have a maximum of two fish in it at a time. I use water ager to get the chlorine out of the tapwater. I've taken out the plastic plant since I thought that they may have been getting stuck on or under it. The first two fan tails I fed two times a day with Tetra fishfood, and the others I only fed once a day. I've replaced the sponge in the filter. I've tried two different brands of water ager. I have my fan on alot considering that it's so hot where I live, but they still die. I've cleaned the tank thoroughly three times over the past 3 weeks and I replace the water as well.

I dont want Sasori III to die. We're out of peas so I cant try to treat him like that, but I've added in some more water.

Does anyone have any advice on how I can possibly stop my fish from dying (aside from naming them after cartoon characters that dont die)? I really need some help =(
