I live in a normal middle class neighborhood. It is funny how I have ADT monitoring home alarm, alarms on every window, lock all doors, etc. However just about everyone I know leaves their doors and/or windows unlocked all day even if they are at work. In fact I don't think I have ever met anyone who takes the time to lock everything. How is it these people never get robbed and they do not play it safe, whereas I make sure that my house is always secure?
I also ask since I am thinking about getting rid of my $20 per month ADT bill and $30 per month landline to make it work. It does put my mind at ease that I can drive to another city and be notified if someone breaks in though.
