Why do most people from North Jersey are very rude and ill-mannered?

Most people from the New York-New Jersey area are miserable, dreadful and unfriendly.

I want to know the reason why.

I am from Montgomery County, Maryland and when I came to this area, I was really shocked by the terrible attitude of the people.
To the one who asks where do I live in NJ, I live in Bergen County, NJ.
