okay, Ive been a christian most my life..but, I dont mind asking myself if I am wrong..I prayed very hard that God would erase EVERYTHING man had taught me and show me himself. but, why do so many christians panic at questioning the validity of the bible as a whole? isnt it entirely possible, God meant what he said the first time and didnt change it, that mankind, mistranslated, and interposed thier own ideals? if we want to please God shouldnt we be open to the ideal that we just MIGHT be a little wrong?
Ms. Lady. everyone I know that is christian is always the same....so based on the fact that I have traveled the countryside with my parents visiting 1000's of churches .. meeting 1000's and 1000's of ppl who say the same thing to questions...then YES I KNOW MOST CHRISTIANS.... the answer is always the same: The written word is God blah blah blah....but, what if SOME of it was GOds but, man misrepresented it...I am asking why we dont seek him without the word in order to verify the validity of the whole written word. what is wrong with asking HIM personaly if its right? and why do Christians do exactly what you just did?
vash sunglasses:
I know more about the bible and christians than you can even begin to fathom. my dad was a minister we traveled far and wide for him to preach..yes 1000's and in fact I was being modest. but thanks for calling me a liar...there goes that panic button I was talking about. I suppose I could list names and you could spend hours checking them out to see if I was right...but, you only proved my point.
Kazoo that is a lie of the original catholic church...in fact, the original christians were called "paulicans" read The trail of blood sometime, it tells all about how the catholic church killed and terrorized original christians and then interposed the roman myths into christian beleifs.....

define panic? i think what you are calling "panic" is the refusal to abandon our faith when challenged by those who seek only destruction or mockery.

if you ask me, to question God everytime someone questions my faith, is "panic"....

but if your faith is that weak, then maybe that's what you need to do...

panic...
