I mean seriously, I live in Missouri. No Garden of Eden here. We do have Saint Louis, though. Great if you want to choke to death on smog or get shot at by some punk kid. So, yeah, to reiterate, why do Mormons think that?

Its a religion..based on faith...faith is defined as the belief in the unproven......Joseph SMith said God told him...Mormons believe it...They also believe that those who were kicked out were burned and became "people of color"....not to be trusted..Good way to explain all those pesky Native Americans you need to get rid of huh?

I didnt know that...

Well think of it like an old statue that got worn down, and eventually dissipated. It used to be there, but maybe spiritually its still there. Just because bad things occupied the area doesnt mean it was never there. :/

Actually, it's in University City. LOL

No, seriously: it was something started by Joseph Smith, I think. And I'm guessing it was a lot more pleasant before all the interstates were built.

heh cause Joesph Smith took over a town in Missouri and got killed their by a mob. (he was arrested for sedition for taking over the town as mayor and destorying the towns only printing press because they used their first amendment right to say what a horrible job he was doing as mayor) So as soon as Smith was lynched the mormons had to leave yet another state. The people in Ohio were smart and kicked him out before he could create a garden of eden in Ohio.

As to Saint Louis, the Arch is cool, but after sitting in the same spot on 270(I think thats what it was) for like 2 hours and being able to see East Saint Louis, I was ready to leave. I feared a bullet more then in any other city I have ever driven in. lol somehow I survived. Mo is a pretty state once you leave Saint Louis. Course I also drove 100 thru the entire state cause I wanted to be somewhere else.

Just keep walking 'till you see the big flaming sword. It's right where god proclaimed that white people lived here before they were killed off by the yellow people and somehow appeared on the other side of the globe.
