I was introduced to christianity as a child and I have been given total control of my beliefs. I have doubted my faith multiple times, and by my own decision, concluded that my faith was a motivation for the idea that life is a test of my will by my creator. If religion is a brainwash because we are supposedly told what to do at a young age by a "magical puppet-master in the sky", which is a demeaning misinterpretation of the free will of theists, then why isn't culture a brainwash? why isn't nature a brainwash? how is it proven that atheism or agnosticism aren't a brainwash? these are legitimate questions, because religion isn't the only thing that contribute to the determination of human morals or lack thereof. lack of religion does, and culture does, and nature does. For those who try to shatter my faith, when you're devoting so much of your time to disproving religion, because your consider it illogical, take a minute to think about the other influences on the moral decisions of our lives. a world free of religion isn't a world free of problems, it's a world deprived of options and free choice in spirituality. take a minute to think about that, as i've taken time to consider the views of those who have blatantly insulted my God, my choices, and my people. and if anyone still has the nerve to try to strip me of my faith, the meaning of my existence, nothing on this earth can do that, because it is a 100% sure and conscious choice, so don't waste your time.
you can't run anything without money, do you ask questions when you contribute to a business? no, of course not. if you're not given reason to question where your money goes, why shouldn't you contribute to what makes your life whole?
don't try to insult my intellect with whatever stupid play on words you found on google. i'm college educated and have been foce fed "logic" THEORIES, the entire time. i consider the decisions of my educators and their superiors to be out of fear of being politically incorrect. religion is oppressed in our scientific education, although science is made up of theories.
I have never told anyone they're going to hell in my life because I know it is without a doubt not my place to judge that and consider a sin to do so.
to be introduced to something is not to have it forced into your belief system.
good point, but church isn't paying to think, it's paying to learn. church for me, isn't actually a physical thing. my body is a temple, in which i worship when i see fit.
i was also introduced to major theologies, theisms, and atheism as a child. i chose christianity because i liked the idea that someone has sacrificed a great deal for me to perfect for my relationship with God.
