i'm libertarian and I think a public system is a great idea. It need reform to make it better. I think we need to make the graduation standards and job acceptance different. People should get different diploma levels for different grade point averages. Meaning that the higher the diploma the higher chance for college and better job opportunities for non college kids. And lower people have to live with bad jobs. Well ones that they can support themselves on but just enough. Then their kids will learn to do better. And if the parents want to they can did themselves out.
I also think it shouldn't come down to poor people paying for food and shelter then having to worry about education. Libertarians have said that they'll have a voucher program to pay for those that can't afford it. I say why support some and not all. That and public schools offer transportation that private schools don't.
