Why do kids whine?

why do we cry or yell? self expression. they just dont know how annoying it is!
 
I don't think its just kids...I know some adults that whine too! I would say its more of a "People" thing than a kid thing.
 
Sometimes it is because the parent is too lazy to take time to be concerned about what is bothering them.Put yourself in your kid's place and try to see things through their eyes for a moment.You might think, well I'd feel like this or worse if I were them about ______.Other times the kid is a spoiled brat.Sometimes it's a little of both.
Explain to the kid why they aren't getting a shotgun for their b-day or a new mustang and tell them thats the way it is, and then tell them if they whine anymore, you will give them something to whine about.
 
Because it's their way of expressing themselves.

1. they want attention
2. they need something or want something
3. they are annoying kids who get mad when they dont get their way
4. they get bored.
lol i dunno thats just what came to mind!
 
Now that is a dumb question because they are kids duh! they don't knw the right word to express it and if they really really want somethng they will whine over it for days but it teaches them they do nto always get what they want.
 
Most kids whine because it gets them what they want. The parents are to blame here as they give in to the whinning to shut the kid up, then they complain because the kid whines.
 
I know when my son whines he is either sleepy are hungry. When he doesn't stop I pray for God to reveal to me what he needs. I then calm him down and tell him to use his words. When he then speaks, it comes out clearer to me what is bothering him.
