Why do Jersey Shore fans always think that detractors only encourage educational shows?

Since when were Oz, Sopranos, Dexter, Sonic SatAM, Saved by the Bell, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, and countless others educational? Those shows require talent and skill. Can you say the same about Jersey Shore?
