Why do Ireland share TV/Radio shows with the UK?

I'm not being mean or anything, Ireland is a great little country and I visit nearly every year. But why don't they have their own TV shows such as The X Factor Ireland, Ireland's Got Talent and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? How come they always get access to UK satellite and radio channels whilst we can't do the same thing vice versa? And why don't they have their own Yahoo services (with it being Yahoo UK & Ireland)?

Ireland is part of the United Kingdom, if you have ever looked at a United Kingdom Passport it says " Passport of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland" At least it did last time I saw a UK passport, I live in Canada now.
It's to save money, or maybe it's because Ireland is/used to be part of the UK?
Why not? Canada and the USA share some TV shows and services.
