Why do I have varicose veins at such a young age?

I'm a 24 year old female, and I have varicose veins in my left leg only. Recently one in my calf has become more painful. Like a constant throbbing pressure. I've done a little research and have read up on the VNUS treatment. Has anyone ever had this treatment done? and why do I have this problem at 24? I am only slightly over-weight, but maybe that could be the problem?
 
Obesity is a factor as is genetics. If it's painful you need to see a dr. since that's a bigger problem than superficial spider veins.
 
It is mostly inherited. If your calf is painful and throbbing you could have a blood clot which is DANGEROUS.
If it is a blot clot you will be hospitalized and put on a Heparin drip to dissolve it.
Treatment for VV have come a long way. The VNUS treatment has been recommended.
And if you are overweight, this could add to the problem.
