Why do I have such a difficult time picking answers on personality tests?

I recently took a career planning class and we took a few personality tests. I took the Myers Briggs test a couple times and a few other personality tests based on Myers Briggs. I usually get INFP, but sometimes I get ESFJ or INFJ. I am so indecisive on every single question. My teacher told us to bubble in whichever answer we had a gut feeling about because that answer was probably the one were most like, only, I never have a gut feeling. For instance, one of the questions was "What do you think of spending a relaxing weekend at home?" Boring, or rejuvenating. See, I usually do spend the weekends alone, but not because I want to but because I don't have a lot of friends... which probably sounds pathetic but I've always had trouble putting myself out there. It's not like I don't like being with people, I'm just shy and kinda insecure. So... I answered a lot of the social and independent questions according to the way I act but not really the way I am. Me being unsocial has more to do with issues I have then my personality.
But I also get stuck on more general things like "Do you usually look at... The big picture, or the smaller details?" I have no clue. I get stuck on almost every question. Does anyone else have this problem?
