I am 17 year old high-school male, and have been rowing for two years. (which for those of you who don't know is one of the most physically demanding sports out there).
I have noticed that on days where I really push myself, I will come home and be EXTREMELY testy On these days I tend to isolate myself in my room, and get really agitated at the littlest things.
I eat about 3000 calories a day and make sure to refuel immediately after workouts, so I do not think that the crankiness is due to nutrient deficiency. I also take multivitamins, and use no workout supplements other than occasional black coffee for the caffeine.
Does anybody know why I get so agitated? Does it have to do with hormone levels? Any information will help, thanks i just want to know if there is a way to stop this. Its almost like when body builders talk about Roid Rage!
