i recently bought a salicylic acid acne medication and i have gotten more zits and blackheaRAB on my face. I did the research and this product should reverse my acne not advance it. should I keep using it or should i throw it away?

Unfortunately, there isn't an acne product available that doesn't make it worse before better.
You have seven layers of skin. You have pimples forming beneath surface that you can't even see yet.
When you start using an acne medication,it must bring those pimples to the surface.
This is called the "initial breakout".Don't throw your med away.Keep using it and it will get better...
It usually takes anywhere from two weeks to two months.

This is a common reason dermatologists sometimes prescribe oral antibiotics along with topicals. The antibiotic helps keep the initial breakout from being as bad.

Just keep using it. Honestly, I have used tons of things to dry out the pimple because mine take so long since mine are mostly under the skin. PLEASE try this, the aspirin mask. It WORKS!!! I have read it about it and so many people said it works but I kept trying other things but finally I decided what is it going to hurt. I bought plain uncoated aspirin for $2. You melt it in a few drops of warm water and I washed my face first and made sure it was cleaned. Then put this on my face and let it sit for 20 min. Then I scrubbed with my fingers gently and it exfoliates as it drys up the pimples. My face is super soft and very clean after, kind of makes me glowy. If you put this under your nose area or above the lip it will make you sneeze alot. So, you can mix with honey and that will keep that from happening. If you need a pimple to dry up even faster, then do in the morning and do at night. However, I have oily skin and this actually drys out my skin a little and since I don't want my skin to over produce more oil, I just add an oilfree moisturizer before I go to bed. I don't use anything else anymore, now I am working on trying to lighten up all the hyperpigmentation marks....aarrggg have tried a million things for that also but I think I have found a corabo of things working but need more time before I tell anyone else to try it. Good luck
